This is currently the ongoing project which is worth Ksh. 14 million. We have already installed a borehole pump that has provided water that the institution and the local community are using.
We have also erected a greenhouse, installed a drip irrigation system, constructed pigs sty and a poultry house.
THE PROJECT ENTAILS:

KAGUNDU-INI MATERNITY PROJECT
KAGUNDU-INI MATERNITY PROJECT
The objective of the Kagundu-ini Health Centre project was to improve maternal and child healthcare, by equipping the maternity wing to facilitate safe delivery for mothers.
This was done through renovation of maternity wing, provision of equipment which included delivery beds, foetal Monitor, Resursitaire, microscope, incubator, laundry equipment, furniture installation of a standby generator construction of an incinerator provision of solar water system and training of Community Health Volunteers (CHV) on the importance of having mothers deliver in a health facility.
Project Impact
Upgrade of Kagundu-ini from a dispensary - level 2 facility operating between 8.00am and 5.00pm to a Health Centre - level 3 facility operating 24 hours.
Over 150 children delivered at the Kagundu-ini Health Centre since opening of its doors in November 2021.
Easy access to medical services by the community.
Increase in the number of staff from 3 to 21; by the government to include Clinical Officers, Lab technician, Public Health Officers and Nurses.
