Welcome to the Rotary Club of Thika! Chartered in 2003, our club has been dedicated to serving the community through various impactful projects and initiatives. With a strong foundation of 25 members at its inception, we have grown and sponsored multiple Rotary, Rotaract, Interact, and Rotary Community Corps (RCC) clubs.
Rotary International is a global organization committed to bringing together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service, promote high ethical standards, and advance goodwill and peace around the world. Our club embodies these values through numerous community projects, including:
Isiolo Literacy Project: Providing desks and textbooks to schools in Isiolo.
Mbeere Water Project: Constructing earth dams to harvest water in arid regions.
Joytown School Projects: Sinking boreholes, providing wheelchairs, and constructing a physiotherapy center.
Thika Primary School for the Visually Impaired: Donating braille machines and installing a computer lab.
Macheo Children’s Centre: Sinking a borehole.
Murang’a School for the Hearing Impaired: Installing a computer lab and buying a school van.
Kitui Water Supply Project: Drilling boreholes and installing water systems.
Maternity Unit at Kagundu-ini Health Centre: Renovating and equipping buildings for a maternity unit.
Our commitment to service above self drives us to continuously seek ways to improve the lives of those in our community.
